They spend a lot of time together and when they do get close its highly emotional as they can feel what the other does an it only seems to draw them closer.

However, his past soon will catch up with him and start to pull them apart. Leaving Cordelia feeling empty and wondering why he left suddenly and unreachable. When they unexpectedly meet with Pandora, a mystery Cordelia has wanted to be solved comes crashing back. And Delia completely lets Delia out and she's MAD! What she does and what happens next, you have to read and see for yourselves how she handles it!

I really love ER's writing style. She truly writes with feeling and strong emotions. I can't wait to see what happens in the next Cordelia Kelly book!

Duality is a excellent choice for the paranormal romance lover. The book explores the internal struggle between dark and light so many are faced with. I especially enjoyed the use of empaths as the main supernatural characters, quite the change from the run of the mill vampire romances that clutter the shelfs (or kindle). The dramatic ending leaves the door open for us to get to know more about Cordelia and Sol in future editions. This is a must read.
Wow, wow, and wow! This book is so good. I have never read anything like it before. I was enthralled right from the beginning, and I couldn't put it down! I loved the characters, and the chemistry between Cordelia and Sol was amazing! This is the first book I have read by E.R. Pierce, and I am now a big fan and can't wait to read the rest of her work! I highly recommend this book!
I've been told Duality falls into the paranormal romance, hybrid urban fantasy category and I think a couple of other of genres. I understand the importance of these categories, to help readers perform searches, but there should be a category for 'darn' good books. Duality is a 'darn' good book. The writing is snappy and the story-line is engaging. I want to use a stronger word than 'darn', but I don't think would like my choice. In my opinion, this is a story that any adult can enjoy, regardless of what genre they might normally read.

The heroine Cordelia Kelly is a dual-natured empath. The emotions of others around her - both positive (light) and negative (dark) emotions affect her psychically. As do all of us do to some degree, she wages an internal battle within herself to balance her light and dark emotions. Dark emotions appeal to her wanton, feral nature while light emotions bolster the good person she wants to become. It's more than a good versus evil story. It's a inner-conflict to achieve a balance, because life is about choices and balance. She has to learn to accept herself, all of herself - her strengths as well as her flaws and weaknesses. Isn't this something we must all learn to do?

To aid her in finding that balance is the anti-hero of this story, the deliciously wicked Sol Winterborn. He walks the razor thin edge separating his soul from the light or eternal darkness. He and Cordelia are tied to each other the way night follows day. It's an atypical romance, but it's compelling. It remains to be seen, if Sol is going to help her become whole and find the balance she seeks - or if his influence will push her father down the dark path of no return. You'll have to buy and read the book to find out.

I loved this book. It's a really `darn' good book.
The world is neither black and white but rather a kaleidoscope a of changing seasons, from
the orange and gold of fall to the blue hues of summer to the white frost of winter and the
reenergizing greens of spring. The same is true for humanity, a multicultural abundance
of lives struggling to find peace, happiness and the ability to fit in.

Cordelia Kelly is trying to find her place in society, her inner peace, her reason for being.
She is an empath, a person who has the power of sensing the feelings of those around
her and the ability to infuse her light to give those in pain a reprieve from their own
tortured soul. Peace has escaped Cordelia, there is a dark light burning within and her name is
Delia and Cordelia must learn to bring her two lights together in order to fulfill a destiny even
she is not aware of.

The author has done one hell of a job in bringing the characters to life,
Cordelia/Delia the empath who struggles to maintain the good while keeping
the evil from surfacing and gaining control. You can envision the steel walls being
constructed to keep her safe, to prevent the darkness from consuming her.

Sol Winterborn, lived with the evil darkness for too many years and when he finds
Cordelia he feels the goodness of her light and wonders can she be his savior,
his soul mate, the light he has searched for.

Sol the sexy and irresistible empath latches himself to Cordelia only to leave and when
we reach the end we do not know where he went or why he left, and the phone call
from Cordelia's student have you asking why? it felt unfinished my questions left unanswered,
overall if you are a lover of paranormal genre then dive into the world of empathic
beings and discover the light and dark.
